Item description

CDF Worx is owned and run by myself, Caitlin Alyssa Swanepoel (Roper) and I am an experienced dance teacher & studio manageress.

I have taught dance for the last 10 years mainly in SA & a few months in the United States. I provide superior dance training classes and choreography.

CDF Worx offers multiple dance & fitness classes around Johannesburg for all ages & levels.

CDF Worx prides itself on instruction that is not only fun but helps develop and maximise their students dancing potential to the fullest.

We assist and help them live out their passion to become dedicated & focused dancers .

Whether you are interested in getting fit or dancing for fun, CDF Worx has something to offer for the whole family. I strive to make every fitness and dance class a nurturing experience, but on a professional level. It’s a community environment with a strong emphasis on fun, fitness and a sense of well-being.

I love sharing my dance knowledge and experience and thoroughly enjoy teaching others how it can be a most therapeutic, but fun way to keep active.

My dance styles include Latin and Ballroom, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Street Jazz amongst others. My classes are upbeat and vibrant while still focusing on technique and fundamentals.
Why Wait?
Don’t wait to start. Anytime is the right time at any level & any age.
Hold your head up high and don't be afraid to be different
All classes are personalised and we work with you, you’re not just a number.
Be determined
You have to know that you want to dance as much as you have to breathe if you want to make something out of it. Whether it’s just for fun, exercise or to make a career out of it.
Don’t Give Up
When you dance, you need to be there for you, to improve whatever it is inside of you that draws you to dance. Build up your confidence, your skills, your concentration, your balance and core fitness.
Learn from your mistakes
There’s a saying that goes, “If you stumble, make it part of the dance” and the only way you can do this is in time with determination and hard work. This doesn’t mean 4 years of training, it just means having the confidence within yourself to take control and become the dance.
Realise what's truly important
Through dance I have learned many things over time. One being my passion for dance and being surrounded by people with whom I love to share my dance knowledge with, and see the improvement within them. Not only through skills but confidence.
Having the ability to take the dance one step further and seeing everyone melt into that moment of synergy and synchronicity with me. Energy is something I firmly believe in, and it’s not how high you can jump or how fast you can run, it’s about the vibe and the emotion you all share at that specific moment in time.
Where there’s a will there’s a way
As I teach and choreograph, depending on the class that I am in, I encourage everyone to bring their own style to the table. Nobody is born a dancer, but I’m there to guide you, to help you find your style, make it magic and help you own it! Whether it’s in a beautiful, elegant way, weird and wonderful or a sassy funky style, it’s moving to the music!
